The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania was set up in 1918 and is one of fourteen ministries of Lithuania. On 13 December 2012, Juozas Bernatonis was appointed Minister of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice is an executive authority with a mission to develop a legal system consistent with the rule of law and ensuring protection of human rights and freedoms.
